 ARLINGTONS

Arlingtons sits on the corner of Museum Street and is perfect for the special occasion or more romantic dinner, though they do cater for lunches. Providing a number of options, from curries, to steaks and vegetarian options, it is ideal for a range of tastes. Arlington’s menu usually indicates which dishes are or can be made gluten free, and if you ask, they may also give you a gluten free menu or specify exactly which options are available gluten free on the current menus. I had a delicious Korma here, with gluten free naan bread. I suspect it was homemade as I have never been able to find it anywhere else. Highly recommend. To view their current menu, click here

AT TWENTYFIVE

@TwentyFive is a family ran restaurant located down Star Lane, a short walk from Ipswich City Centre. Surrounded by cosy beams, this is a wonderful restaurant for atmospheric dinners; dates, dinners with friends, family occasions. Their menu has a great variety of vegetarian, fish and meat options, serving everything from burgers, to fish dishes, lasagnes, cakes etc. Most of the dishes are or can be altered for gluten free. Personally recommend the gluten free veggie burger which I’ve enjoyed on several occasions.

Walking into the Cosy Club is like walking into Baz Lurhman’s Moulin Rouge, and the eccentric bohemian decor does, as the name would suggest, make the whole place feel pretty cosy and exclusive. The Cosy Club offer a whole range of Gluten free options from burgers and veggie burgers in gluten free buns to tapas, steaks, and scrumptious non-glutenous desserts. Take a peek at their menu here:

THE BROOK INN

The Brook Inn is a community ran restaurant, a little way out of Ipswich, though not far, found in the picturesque village of Washbrook. With it’s impressive menu, and friendly service, it is easily one of the best Gluten Free restaurants I’ve ever been to. One of the first restaurants to be accredited by the Coeliac Society, the entire menu is packed with gluten free options; pies, risottos, tempura, battered cod and steaks and more.
